Here’s what Coco Martin said about Susan Roces as he’s in complete devastation as well.
COCO MARTIN – Ang Probinsyano star Coco Martin was deeply hurt over the death of Susan Roces and here are some of their memories.
Last Friday, Senator Grace Poe shared that Queen of Philippines Movies, Susan Roces passed away. She died at the age of 80 due to cardiopulmonary arrest. Many people grieved over the Queen of Philippines Movies’ death. And among those who are in complete devastation is Coco Martin, the lead star of Ang Probinsyano.
According to Martin, he shared several fond memories with Roces. He got close to her in 2012 when he did “Walang Hanggan” and she was the one who boost his confidence whenever he would feel insecure about his capacity in speaking English.
Their relationship isn’t just in front of the camera because for him, it goes beyond that. He thought that losing Eddie Gutierrez is already the most painful but this time, losing Susan Roces brought him pure devastation. This time, the pain’s at maximum for him.
“Kasi si Tita Susan hindi ko siya katrabaho, hindi katrabaho lang ang tingin ko sa kanya. Malalim ang pagtingin, pagmamahalan at respeto namin sa bawat isa,” says Martin.
And while she was alive, the late veteran actress would tell him to not be shy about not being fluent in English because what should matter most is how he would treat other people with dignity.
She also taught him the value of hard work and to love the company that’s giving him opportunities. He would also carry with him the learning about being just and fair to all people regardless of wealth and status. Those were just a few lessons he learned from her that he will forever take with him.
Closing his speech based on ABS-CBN report, “Kaya ‘La kung nasan ka man po ngayon, gusto ko pong malaman na lahat kami na nandito ay sobrang-sobrang mahal ka po namin at hinding-hindi ka po namin makakalimutan habang-buhay. I love you.”
