Who Is Ralph Ahn?
Son of Dosan Ahn Chang-ho, Ralph Ahn was an American actor has left for heavenly abode on 26 th February, Saturday. However, the reason for his death remains undisclosed. Ralph Ahn’s death was confirmed by the Korean American Federation of Los Angeles (KAFLA) on Monday and by Jake Johnson when he posted about it on his Instagram handle.
Inspired by his elder brother, Ralph Philander Ahn later started his career as an actor.
His father was one the most respected patriotic as well as historical figures in Korea and his parents were even the first Korean couple to immigrate to the US mainland. Ralph Philander joined the US Navy three years after his father’s death and fought in World War- II, where he was one of the 100 Korean-Americans to fight with the Japanese.
Ralph’s elder brother Philip Ahn who is one of the first Asian American actors was his influencer and an inspiration to take him towards the acting career. Some of his famous works are Glimore Girls, The King Of Queens, Suddenly Susan, Walker. He was best known for his act in the sitcom ‘New Girl’ which grabbed a huge fan base. Taking a break from his acting career, the late actor also served as a head coach of a football team and taught business math in a high school situated in California.
Some sources reported that the late actor Ahn was admitted to the hospital due to some illness, but it didn't turn out to be well and he lost his life on Monday. His death news flooded social media such as Instagram and Twitter where his fans and other celebrities expressed grief and remembered the late actor, Ralph Philander Ahn.
Jake Johnson wrote on Instagram, “RIP. So much fun to work with. He gave so much with literally no lines. I loved when he was on set. I was always expecting to somehow work with him again. Condolences to his family and friends.”
Ahn and Johnson weren’t only co-actors and their off-screen chemistry received immense love from their audiences. On Johnson’s tribute to Ahn, Zooey Deschanel, the ‘New Girl’ star even expressed her grief with a crying emoticon and wrote, “NOOOOO.” Lamorne Morris also shared snaps of Ahn from his
episodes, adding, “Damn. RIP to Ralph Ahn”. Many other stars even expressed themselves and paid tribute to Ahn as one of the liveliest and kind men.
