Video Reveals The Final Moments Of Ukrainian Guards Situated On Snake Island

The now-viral video shows the Russian warships asking the guards to lay down arms and surrender before getting shut down by the Ukrainian guards.

War brings out both cowards and heroes inside the people involved. One such case of courage and heroism was observed in the Russian-Ukraine war when 13 soldiers laid down their lives at the expense of not compromising their principles with the enemy. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the incident on Snake Island resulted in the death of all 13 Ukrainian soldiers who were stationed on the first day of battle on the country’s Snake Island.

What happened on Snake Island?

The event of Snake Island is now immortalized forever in the digital landscape as it was recorded and is now viral amongst the world with almost everyone praising these soldiers as brave martyrs after refusing to give up the Island and surrender to the invading Russian warships. The soldiers recorded themselves talking about projectiles slamming into stones and the enemy’s location off the shore of Snake Island, near Odesa, in the Black Sea, according to the footage. The audio of radio transmission between the warship and the soldiers was released online in which, the Russian warship asked the soldiers to “give up and surrender to avoid unnecessary bloodshed” to which the soldiers replied with “Russian warship, go fuck yourself”. The warship fired projectiles at them after this killing them all in the process.

The world at large has praised Ukraine since the war started for holding its ground and fighting for its land and people. This video just reaffirmed people’s praises for the spirit with which the citizens and soldiers of Ukraine are opposing the tyranny of Russia. The clip has received a lot of views with people calling these soldiers the martyrs that shall not be forgotten anytime soon from the history books.
